Footpath Mapping
Walking Project aims to harness the power of Mapillary, an open-source platform, to gather data on footpath quality across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) using its open-source mapping platform. Individuals can contribute by uploading their street views to Mapillary and sharing their user ID and session information with us. This collaboration will enable us to assess various attributes of the footpaths, such as width, continuity, surface quality, shape, slope, and other pertinent details. Our goal is to foster an active community of Mapillary mappers dedicated to maintaining an open-source database of walking infrastructure quality throughout the MMR.

We will go through your submitted data to check the quality of walking experience & note down the same.

You share your recorded mapillary session on our google form with remarks about your walking experience.

We make a detailed action plan for the civic body to make the walking experience along the route enjoyable.
