Temperature Mapping

During the peak of summer, we conducted a thorough ambient temperature mapping study across diverse neighborhoods in Mumbai, featured in Question of Cities. Our exercise spanned neighborhoods with varying characteristics like humidity levels and socio-economic profiles. In each neighborhood, we strategically mapped routes covering roads both with and without tree cover during the same session, to assess how trees influence walkability. Detailed findings can be found in the linked article.

We adhered rigorously to best practices in temperature measurement to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.

Conducting this exercise was demanding, and if you appreciate our work, consider supporting us through a donation.
